Bagels with Hot Links, Bacon, Egg and Cheese

(BYOB) BUILD YOUR OWN BAGEL!

I just moved across the country, it feels like I just moved across the world! I am tired, drained, hungry, sleep deprived, did I mention hungry. I needed to cook a breakfast for my family that did not require me to pull out my big guns!

That's my pots and pans for those of you who didn't know this. Everything is packed and I needed a hot meal so this is what I came up with.

I started with some fresh bagels, and no I didn't make them, I told you I am sleep deprived. Next time I might make them, but Einstein Bros Bagels is doing such a great job at it, I might just leave the bagel making to them.

I also fried some nice hot links, until a little crispy.

I told you they were a little crispy.

NO WORDS NEEDED!

Pepper jack and cheddar was my cheese of choice, but use your favorite cheese.

I fried my eggs, (in extra virgin olive oil) sprinkled with a little creole seasoning and black pepper.

Yum, look at what we got here! Make sure you add cream cheese to the toasted bagel while it's hot, so you too can achieve the melt-y, creamy, goodness, of lava flow, like I did.

All I can say, is umm, umm, good! I would say BAM, but my favorite chef Emeril already got that covered!

I cut the bagels in half after assembling them (you didn't think, I would eat a whole one, lol), wrapped them up in paper bags and the family had a feast!

Bagels with Hot Links, Bacon, Egg and Cheese

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

4 bagels, split
4 hot links, split
4 eggs
1 pack of bacon
1 block of cheddar cheese
1 block of pepper jack cheese
1 container of cream cheese
extra virgin olive oil
pinch of creole seasoning
pinch of black pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375

Cook bacon until crisp and drain on paper towels. In a skillet over medium heat add a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and cook split hot links for about 10-15 minutes, until nice and crisp.

Remove hot links and add more olive oil and crack egg into pan, sprinkle with creole and pepper, allow to set up about 1 minute then slightly piece egg yoke, allow egg to cook until your desired doneness. I like to flip my egg when almost cooked and cook about 1-2 minutes more on the second side.

Top egg with cheeses, cover, remove from heat and allow cheese to melt. Toast bagel, coat with cream cheese, top with bacon, hotlink and egg, ENJOY!
