Day 4 of Smoothie/Juice Week and all I have on my mind is dessert! One of my favorite fruit dessert items is Chocolate Covered Strawberries.
I was trying to figure out how to recreate this dessert into a smoothie, while keeping the flavor of the real thing.
Rule number 1, use fresh strawberries. Although frozen strawberries are my go to fruit for smoothies, I needed the flavor and taste of a fresh strawberry for this shake.
Rule number 2, Hemp Powder...this hemp powder is not only good for you, it's rich...a little goes a long way people!
Rule number 3, use Almond milk, although regular milk would suffice, almond milk will give your shake that rich, deep, nutty, chocolatey flavor!
This is a really simple shake, place everything in the blender with some crushed ice added, blend for about 1 minute and that's it.
Drink up people, this is the next best thing to eating fresh Chocolate Covered Strawberries.
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Hemp Shake

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons Nutiva Organic Hemp Shake, Chocolate
2 cups strawberries
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup crushed ice
Directions:
Mix all ingredients into blender, blend for 1 minute. Serve in chilled glasses. Enjoy!
