Cooking Planit and T-Fal Giveaway: Cooking Planit Review with a Steak Chili Meal!

Countdown to the Giveaway!

I am super excited for this T-Fal cookware giveaway that starts in 2 days! One of the requirements to enter the giveaway, is to register for the Cooking Planit website. This website is pure genius.

It's so simple to use, type in what you would like to eat, organize in groceries, prep and cook. Oh...don't forget you can decide how many servings you want to cook!

I wanted something spicy, so I chose Steak and 3 Bean Chili. You know I never fully follow any recipe, it was so simple to make adaptions to the recipes in Cooking Plainit

The hubby doesn't like cumin so I used 2 diced chipotle peppers to give the chili a smokey kick!

I also only had one kind of bean, for my Steak and 3 Bean Chili, so I used all pinto beans which was no problem. I decided the more meat the better, which made the extra addition of ground chuck a winner!

After I browned all my meats for the chili, I put everything back in the pot.

I made another adaptation with the addition of 8 ounces of hot tomato sauce and 4 ounces of roasted Hatch chiles!

Yes, it looks spicy, exactly what I was going for!

Using steak in the recipe was genius! Don't forget to freeze your steak, for at least 1 hour making it easier to dice into little chunks.

You know you want a bite! Well, what are you waiting for people, set up your free #CookingPlanit account today!

Did I mention that Cooking Planit also has a free iPhone or iPad apps, which I love!

1 tablespoon ground oregano
1 tablespoon black pepper

Add about 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a pot and heat over medium heat. Add steak, in batches if necessary and cook for about 4 minutes on each side.

Remove steak from pan, add onion and bell pepper, jalapeno and chipotle peppers to pan, saute for 5 minutes, add garlic and 1 tablespoon of seasoning blend and cook for 1 minute more.

Add ground chuck, brown for about 10 minutes, add 2 tablespoons of seasoning blend to ground chuck. Add steak back to pan with meat/veggie mixture. Mix well.

Add hot tomato sauce, roasted Hatch chilies, broth, and remaining seasonings, mix well.

Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally for about 1 hour are until steak is really tender. Add more broth if needed to thin chili.
