Grilled Steak Pizza with Spicy Roasted Garlic Chimichurri Sauce

I've been on a mini vacation and I have taken this time to eat some of the best food Las Vegas has to offer.

I will be sharing a few of these delicious meals I've experienced over the next week, all recreated my way!

Today I start off with my Grilled Steak Pizza with Spicy Roasted Garlic Chimichurri Sauce.

I went to an Argentinian restaurant and they had some of the best steak I've ever eaten and they served it with a big cup of chimichurri sauce.

They also included fresh baked bread to dip in the chimichurri sauce.

I decided to take this dish and turn it into a pizza and I also kicked up my chimichurri sauce with the addition of roasted garlic and a Serrano pepper.

I marinated my steaks, grilled them up and then used Naan flat bread as a pizza crust.

All done and ready to eat, I also served an extra side of chimichurri sauce for dipping.

This dish is a real winner, and so simple to put together, it's a new family favorite.

Enjoy.

Grilled Steak Pizza with Spicy Roasted Garlic Chimichurri Sauce

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes plus steak marinating time
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

2 beef tenderloins
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 tablespoon creole seasonings
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
4 naan flat bread
2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
more olive oil to grill

For the Roasted Garlic Chimichurri Sauce:

1 cup Italian parsley
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
5 cloves roasted garlic
1 Serrano pepper, seeded
1 teaspoon creole seasoning
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

Rinse steak and pat dry. Mix seasoning blend. Pour olive oil over steak and rub into both sides.

Coat steak generously with seasoning blend, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight if desired. Bring steaks to room temperature prior to grilling.

Heat grill and cook steaks 7-8 minutes per side. Allow steaks to rest 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

To prepare chimichurri sauce, add all ingredients into a blender and blend well. Cover and set aside until ready to use.

To assemble steaks,  drizzle olive oil over flat breads and grill for about 3 minutes per side. Top grilled flat bread with cheese and steak.

Place assembled pizzas on grill and cover grill with lid until cheese melts.

Drizzle chimichurri sauce over steaks and serve warm.

    1. Really simple Mimi, my husband bought it from the grocery store in the deli section. lol, but if you want to make it from scratch, I just take garlic heads in the skin, cut of the tip just to barely expose the garlic, place on foil drizzle with olive oil and spices and herbs, like dry thyme a pinch of dry oregano, pepper, salt, wrap them in foil and bake for about 1 1/2 hours at 375 degrees, remove from oven and pop them out. I am going to make it for the site. It's really simple.
